What is innocent bystander?

An innocent bystander is a person who happens to be present at the scene of an event or incident, but is not directly involved or participating in it. This individual may witness the event, but has no role in causing it or influencing its outcome. Examples of incidents where innocent bystanders may be present include accidents, crimes, natural disasters, and protests. Unfortunately, innocent bystanders can also be unintended victims of such incidents, and may suffer physical harm, emotional trauma, or financial losses as a result. It is important for individuals to take precautions for their own safety and be aware of their surroundings in potentially dangerous situations.
